Spotted Gum Deck – Cherrybrook

Spotted Gum (Corymbia maculata) is a native Australian hardwood, known for its striking appearance and durability. Its colors range from pale greys to rich chocolate browns, with distinctive grain patterns that lend a sense of character and warmth to any outdoor area. But what truly sets Spotted Gum apart is its ability to withstand the harshest of conditions while maintaining its natural beauty.

For this project in Cherrybrook, we and the client wanted both stability and versatility in design, which is why we used Stratco Pro Beam framing. This innovative system uses high-strength steel beams that can span longer distances, allowing for larger, open spaces beneath your deck without the need for obtrusive support posts. This creates a sleek, uncluttered look that maximizes the flexibility of your outdoor living area.

These image showcase the colours of the decking timbers, which match into the building’s timber cladding, along with the Pro Beam installation used to support the deck construction. The addition of the deck to the house will transform the liveability of this outside area and peaceful garden surrounds for these homeowners.
